About us

The SIS African Studies provides specialised information services for disciplines in the humanities and social sciences with a regional focus on Africa. The SIS African Studies is based at the Goethe-University Library in Frankfurt am Main since 2016 and funded by the German Research Foundation.

The SIS African Studies focusses on the acquisition of publications African publishers that are difficult to access. This ensures that publications from the region can be made available for research.

A further focus is the development of a reference and research portal that covers the entire spectrum of African Studies research.
